eDocuments is a convenient way to receive your quarterly statements, product updates and other communications through Mutual of America's website instead of receiving them in the mail. When you sign up for eDocuments, you will receive emails to notify you when your documents are available to view online in My Account.
Complete the online Consent Agreement and submit by 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time on the last business day of the month, and the monthly charge will be waived for each month, beginning with the month in which you submit your consent form.1
If you own more than one Mutual of America product, your consent will be effective for all products held under your Customer ID. Your consent also will cover additional Mutual of America products you purchase in the future.
You can view your documents on our full website but not on our mobile website. Log in to My Account. Then, you can access available documents from the eDocuments drop-down menu.
We provide documents in a "PDF" format. You will need Adobe® Reader®2 to view our documents online. You can download 2 a copy of this software through our website if you have not already installed it on your computer.
Your documents may appear in a pop-up window. If you have pop-up blocking software running, your browser may not be able to open pop-up windows. Change your system settings to "allow pop-ups" for mutualofamerica.com or temporarily disable all pop-up blocker software to allow your documents to be viewed online in a second window. (For most systems, the pop-up blocker will be accessible in the Tools menu or may appear as an icon in the Information Bar.)
Currently, we furnish quarterly statements, the quarterly Capital Management Report and enews newsletter, transfer confirmations, prospectuses, semi-annual and annual reports, Annual Fee Disclosure and tax forms online. You will receive paper copies of other types of documents until we make them available on our website. If you are receiving all our documents by mail, your previous eDocuments consent may have been revoked because your email address changed, or the Internet service provider you are using blocks the email. Please see the question below on SPAM.
You can add the mutualofamerica.com email address to your list of acceptable emails. Please check with your Internet service provider for information about SPAM blockers.
The length of time we keep a document on our website will depend on the nature of the document, and we may from time to time change our retention policies. Generally, documents will be removed when an updated version is available, except that we will maintain online your four most recent quarterly statements and confirmation statements for at least 30 days.
Log in to My Account and select the menu item Change Your Security Profile.
You can print or save a copy of each document we deliver online to keep in your files.
You have the right to revoke your consent at any time either online or by calling us.
|1||The monthly participant charge is the lesser of $2 or 1/12 of 1% of your account balance for the month if the account balance is less than $2,400. Effective on or after July 1, 2015, the $2 monthly participant charge will only be waived for participants enrolled in eDocuments, participants with an account balance of less than $300 and all participants in a plan if the total assets in the plan are at least $15 million. For purposes of meeting the $15 million threshold to qualify for this waiver, we aggregate certain affiliated plans.|
